Here's how it works

If you're here, we figure you already own the Hotness Tester and want to know more about how it works. (If we're wrong, you might want to check out our Hotness Tester page instead.)

Here's info on using the app and setting its options:

 Main Screen

Once you start the app, you'll see the screen above. Tap the "How Hot R U?" button to start the app. The app will gauge your "hotness" by showing a climbing thermometer. The thermometer will stop at a certain level, and the app will bring you back to the Main Screen and tell you which hotness level you reached. It's a random reading, so please don't expect it to measure any temperatures, beauty or any such thing. This is just for fun.

Options Screen

Tapping on the Gear icon at the bottom left of the main screen takes you to the Options Screen, shown at right. Here's what you can do here:

Randomness: If you select Randomness, you'll get a random "hotness" reading each time. With Randomness off, the thermometer will go to the highest level and explode out the top every time. (Perfect for telling a friend or loved one you you feel.)

Messages: Customize the levels of the readings by entering your own labels here. The top label is the coldest, and each label that follows will register as hotter than the last on the hotness thermometer. Use your imagination to make the app even that much more fun.

Tap Done to go back to the Main Screen.
